Pastor James Green
Pastor James Green trusted Christ in 1967 at the age of nine. His father, Pastor Don Green of Lansing, MI, raised him and his 5 siblings in the ministry. Our pastor is a third generation pastor and, through experience, has learned the heart of the ministry. He graduated from Masillon Baptist College in 1980 and married his wife, Terri (Koonts) Green, in August of the same year.
After graduation the Lord led him back to his father's church in Lansing, MI. Where he served as Youth Pastor for seven years. In 1987, after two years of prayer and counsel, God led him to the tiny town of Charlevoix. The night he was voted in as pastor, there were only twelve voting members. Since then the church outgrew it's small building with a 1200 sq. ft. auditorium to a brand new 11,000 sq.ft. building on Highway M-66. At the dedication of that new building on Easter of 1998 the church saw 277 in attendance.
